What do we mean by "Exclusively Yours"?

We rent our Park to ONE group each day.  Why?

Because we want your group to have our undivided attention. And, to give you control over the many variables that affect your enjoyment of the day!

You don't have to share anything - all food, games, and facilities will be for your exclusive use. So, there are no crowded parking lots, no waiting for food service, no long lines for the games or the restrooms, no stranger wandering into your group's events, no litter left by other visitors. Your park is sparkling clean. You listen to the music that you select. Your group can focus on having fun!!!

Can we bring our own caterer?

No, we do our own catering and are well known for our plentiful, great-tasting food. With our all day all you can eat service your guests may "graze" all day long and will be talking about the food long after the day of your picnic. And no, we never "run out"!

What about beer or other alcohol?

You may bring beer to your event and provide it without charge to your guests, but Novelty is a dry township, so we cannot provide you with beer, nor may you sell it. Hard liquor is prohibited at Wiegand's Lake Park at all times. Heritage Beverage Sales provides beer for several of our groups. Place your order with them and we'll take care of the keg cooling, setup, takedown, cups and ice. We'll even provide a bartender if you wish. Just call Heritage at 1-800-229-2337 and ask for Judy Fox, Ext. 131.

Can we bring our dog? What is your pet policy?

We love dogs and other animals but the pet policy is selected by the client for the day. Pets, if allowed by the client, must be on a leash, under control, & poop scooped. You should assume pets are not allowed unless your company has decided otherwise.

What can I do with Wiegand's Lake 10¢ novelty tickets?

Children love Novelty Tickets!!!  Give our popular Wiegand's Lake Park 10¢ novelty tickets to the kids as they arrive and as prizes for games and races. Each novelty ticket may be redeemed for 10¢ worth of  the child's choice of fun, reasonably priced, prizes from our novelty stands. The tickets keep them busy and happy, shopping and playing all day long. As the children arrive at the park, groups give each child strips of 10¢ novelty tickets worth $4.00 to $10.00, or more! (most toys are priced between 10¢ and $10) Additional tickets may be used as prizes for your games. You are billed only for the number of tickets that you tear off of the roll.

Are there any fish in the lake?

Yes, they are our pets, so no fishing is allowed. You are welcome to feed them bread crumbs, which they love. The very large fish you will see are Amur carp put into the lake to help control the growth of seaweed.

How long have you been doing this, anyway?

76 years, four generations, and counting. That's a lot of experience with picnics and outings to help you create a memorable event.
